I have been working at Schlumberger as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

The working environment is really multicultural, everyone is friendly and helpful.

Cons

- Stonehouse is too small, but Gloucester/Cheltenham are good alternatives

    24 hrs 7 days on call
    No balance work/life
    No time for personal life (family, hobbies, etc)
    To be able to relocate anytime and anywhere
    Many years in the field

    Take care of people, even is a hard industry management can improve the work balance of their employees

    training, meeting new people, seeing new and different locations

    Cons

    not enough equipment to do your job, lower management without a backbone due to the intervention of upper management, too much internal birocracy, promotion not done always based on performance

    Advice to Management

    keep your promises and obey the internal "law", stop cutting cost on the field area, cut it in the office personell
