Pros
Collaborative and Innovative, this company allows free thinking and I never feel afraid to make decisions. There are many opportunities and I feel like they are pretty well communicated across the organization.
Cons
Different teams can still seem segmented. I feel though the collaboration efforts from the VPs and Directors are helping fix that.

Columbia Dedicated Account / DBL Josh School
Feb 22, 2023 - Dedicated Company Driver in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The training was pretty nice. Being on the Columbia account was pretty steady work until the slow season. You will always be able to plan out your own route and schedule while on the dedicated account. You will also be able to get home on the weekends.
Cons
The DBL will try everything to have you risk your life for a load. You will end up with violations no matter what due to the lack of communication regarding your pre-assignment. Any bad weather conditions, you will have to take the load but I would always decline to go if I don't feel like I can travel safely. Schneider will disregard any family emergency that you may have or come up during the work week. All drivers are treated the same, whereas you will get low pay no matter what. The recruiters will lie to you in order to get you on board. You will never get a check over $1,000 or any incentive for safe driving. You will run over $2,000 miles weekly and still not get no where in the company. During the slow season, you will be forced to go over the road. The trucks have to keep running and moving according to the DBL. You will make close to 2 to 4 stops a day while OTR. The roadside maintenance will have you on the side of the road for hours waiting.
