I have been working at ScrollMotion full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The office environment is extremely positive. The management staff works hard for their employees and the company has a plan to take SM to the next level.

Cons

It is still somewhat of a startup and processes are still being worked out.

Advice to Management

Continue to support current customers as well as product development.

I worked at ScrollMotion full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The majority of people are very nice. Everyone pulls together to deliver the best they can and on time when possible.

    Cons

Senior management has little experience in high tech and they are in denial about how bad morale is. There is infighting among management and the east and west coast offices do not work together effectively. Despite recent layoffs, there are still people in senior roles that are loosely defined and contribute very little to the bottom line. The board seems oblivious to all this and continues to support management.

    Advice to Management

Stop outsourcing your jobs to consultants. If you can't do the basic job you were hired for, get out of the way. Recognize when you are adding value and when you are simply a body filling a position (and please stop adding more C-level titles to the already over crowded senior management team).

I have been working at ScrollMotion full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Huge visible improvement in the short time I've worked there. The COO and CEO complement each other very well - the Good Cop CEO creates the vision and the no-nonsense Bad Cop COO's pushes things over the line (she's actually more of a bad-ass than a bad cop - she's great!).

    Pay is good
Hours are pretty good, especially compared to most advertising agencies
They put a lot of effort into making new employees feel welcome and supported
    Free Lunch Fridays
    Great office location
    Really nice people
Eagerness to absorb new knowledge from a bunch of experienced new hires
The platform is actually really cool

    Cons

The office is a little bit ugly looking. Lots of retro stuff, which is cute, but it needs a pop of color or something.
Lots of process and personelle issues but they seem to be swiftly addressing these
Organizational culture needs a bit more time to develop - the place has moved really quickly from a start up to a medium sized company

    Advice to Management

    Keep going!
