I have been working at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Once in a life time experiences. Some truly great people and opportunity to advance. Diversity in experience that the company can provide.

Cons

Once you hit a certain point it become difficult to move up and competition for positions leads to a cut throat nature in some areas.

Advice to Management

Take more responsibility for the role you take in your teams performance and choose to be active in their development.

I have been working at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are many tourists/guests of the park that are thrilled when you answer their question. Get to hang out near animals.

    Cons

Outside (hot in summer), low pay (start at $10.21/hr.)

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as the college education assets that they are - not like high school kids on a summer job. Being afraid to lose your job over little petty things (clocking in a minute late) vs. the wonderful guest experiences you provide is ridiculous.

I have been working at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sea World can be a fun environment. My division was very flexible. There are opportunities to become a lead.

    Cons

The heat in San Antonio is enough for people to shy away from this job. Depending on the department or particular ride, the hours can be awful.
