Pros

Good work environment and family atmosphere. Lots of long tenured employees, so change is difficult to manage at times. Upper management provides plenty of flexibility in work-life balance. Opportunities for advancement are plenty, given you are open to relocation.

Cons

Pay and benefits are defnitely not competetive with industry standards. This is especially true to internal promotions. Hours can be long, but not unusual for logistics. Technology and equipment definitely needs to be modernized and brought up to current standards.

Advice to Management

In our quest to take care of hourly associates, senior leaders often forget about the management team that quietly labors away 60+ hours a week. They do so often with little or no tangible recognition, year after year. We are bleeding experienced talent at a steady rate and if nothing significant is done soon, the company will find it difficult to compete at the same level as our big box competitors.

    Pros

Good co-workers. Good management in the beginning. Flexible with hours and vacation time. Offers benefits that are reasonable if requested.

    Cons

With any retail company at a low-level position, you often get the raw-end of the deal in terms of tasks and little respect.

    Advice to Management

Don't pick on the little guy. Be more reasonable with the work you give. Stay friendly but also incorporate respect.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The company's "Friends and Family" day lets the aforementioned take advantage of the same discounts employees receive on a daily basis.

    Cons

There is a very high turnover rate and very few hours to go around to all employees. Managers tended to have their favorites and employees more deserving are underappreciated and passed over.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the influx of revolving door employees by focusing on keeping the good employees you do have, as well as encouraging them to stay on.
