Pros

Visible, exciting, challenging project work, using current technologies.

Cons

Lots of pathological politics, disenfranchised workers, no clear business strategy

Advice to Management

Start running Sears as a business... strategy, initiatives, portfolios, programs, projects, all tied to priorities within a clear and coherent vision. Stop the thrashing.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Good, safe environment. Treated well by superiors. Slow paced (if that's what you are looking for). Similar compensations to that offered by other competing retailers.

    Cons

You aren't encouraged to progress/grow. Very little mentoring. No encouragement. Very slow and repetitive pace. Ok if you are just looking for part time work, not a place to grow your career.

  2. "Good the first few days, after that it is stressful, unfair and you are overworked for such little pay."

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    -Better than being unemployed.
-Get to talk to customers and provide some form of entertainment while working.
    -Other hourly associates are nice

    Cons

-Managers overwork you for such little pay.
-Managers keep you after your scheduled shift is supposed to end and make you work until they feel like dismissing you.
-Some managers get upset and don't let you take a 15 minute break even if you work an 8 hour shift.
-Managers don't care about your personal life and other responsibilities you have outside of work.
-Managers want you to work when you are not scheduled to work
-Managers ask you at the last minute (about 10) to stay a few extra hours.
-Managers are so stuck up and full of themselves, simply because they are managers at Sears and have "authority"

    Advice to Management

Get people that are actually qualified and trained to lead and manage workers and a store.
