I worked at Sears as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

didn't find much, but only feeling of working for a large retailer, but end of the day the salary is low compared to others. You get 20% employee discount on every purchase.

Cons

you get 20% employee discounts but i find most of the items still will be costly than some of the other competitors. Once a seasonal employee, very hardly they take you in permanent positions.

Advice to Management

consider seasonal employees to get them in for permananet

I worked at Sears part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great brand name products that Sears will stand behind. Sales training is acually available, but it has to be done while punched in through computers on the floor. There was no formal training for product, credit, or pos.

    Cons

New hires were just thrown on the floor to see if they would survive. hours were based on performance --that is sales of protection agreements and credit cards.

    Advice to Management

Devote the first 30 days to a formal training period.
