    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Still a few veterans in head office that understand retail. Good downtown HQ location - for now. Many good store locations across the country - valuable real estate portfolio.

    Cons

Suffering from 8 years of poor management. Talent drain has seriously impacted ability to succeed. Turnover in HQ continues with many senior assignments occupied by the ineffective or incompetent.
Inexperience in marketing continues to drive negative results. Overall strategy seems to be downsizing gradually, and liquidating assets for the benefit of the primary shareholder.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to listen to your rank and file.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    I worked at Sears full-time

    Pros

    the internal people... nothing else

    Cons

very toxic environment, top heavy, lacking internal promotions, no communication, no accountability, ancient systems, no efficiency, poor salary unless you are an external hire, lack of team-based culture, lack of direction, store closings, poor financial results, lack of innovation, lack of support

    Advice to Management

re-evalutate corporate structure, eliminate directors and above who sit and twiddle their thumbs, pay attention to managers and below who are busting their butts to execute with no clear strategy from senior management. too many hands in the cookie jars, not enough decisions being made in a timely manner
