Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Sears full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great company to work for. In commission department you are the boss, you make as much as you want, so if you are not leader type you'll not survive.

Cons

not enough support, company is divided in to different departments as independently running business, to create competition but it does not work as it sound. Instead of competing as a whole against another retailer to gain client tell and business, most of efforts are wasted between leader ship of different departments to gain floor space in store and other issues. It does not happen at store level but happens at corporate level. In perfect world that logic may work but not in 2013.

I have been working at Sears full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If one is willing to work hard, there are many opportunities to move up within the company. I started at the lowest level at the call center and had several promotions which were beneficial to my family. Sears is a great job to get some business experience. The benefits are decent.

    Cons

The company is split into so many organizations and areas, and these different parts of the company don't do a great job of interacting well with each other to make a cohesive whole that works together. The starting pay is low, but you do have opportunities to move up and get raises if you try for them.

    Advice to Management

Consider integrated approaches in order to drive a consistent customer experience rather than driving and developing individual business functions.
