    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Sears part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Quick and easy hiring process. On a sales associate level, the company seems to be starting to implement new technology that can be really useful if used effectively. It's really difficult to get fired.

    Cons

Commission rates for commission only positions seem to be dropping constantly. Other positions, like MCAs and cashiers rarely have an opportunity to advance and their salary and job security (especially for cashiers) relies on their ability to get people to apply for credit cards.

    Advice to Management

The management should really concentrate more on an associate's dependability, positive interaction with customers (regardless of the number of satisfaction surveys received) and long term commitment to the betterment of the company. Pushing the Shop Your Way Rewards membership, credit apps, and feedback surveys only allow associates to convey their job performance in numbers. Feedback based on actual customer interaction would make a world of difference in morale and job satisfaction.
