I have been working at Sears full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great pay when you make enough sales, friendly coworkers and managers, decent training systems

Cons

Not enough customers and not competitively priced enough for sales to be better or even with the competition. Lots of problems with technology or lack thereof, miscommunication between services and sales, and high expectations for sales people with no way to achieve the goals.

Advice to Management

Push for better equipment and empower sales associates with the ability to bring in customers.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Sears full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Conference calls to discuss conference calls. Waste to much time talking about goals and objectives and get nothing done. To many old employee's they need new blood. The longer you are there the better chance you have of keeping your job. lay=offs are based on who has been there the longest not who tells the truth about what really needs to be done to make changes. If you are a yes man and say that everything is great Sears will love you.

    Advice to Management

Pull your head out of the sand, things are not good and it is not a good company, you are not a not for profit company or part of the federal government you are suppose to make money not just stay operating.
