Approves of CEO

I have been working at Seattle Genetics (Less than a year)

Pros

The work life balance in Seagen is good. Could learn a lot of knowledge from the colleagues. A lot of meetings with people from different functions.

Cons

First, the green card application starts only after H1B being selected. Second, cannot work from home, on site only. But WFH is currently being discussed. It should be flexible in the future.

Advice to Management

Manage system is good. The managers are really nice. But do not have the new employee training. Hope in the future will be better.

I worked at Seattle Genetics full-time

    Pros

Company is doing well and good to its employees. Good benefits, salary, bonus and stocks.

    Cons

Management has played favorites for years. If you are the boss's favorite, you can do whatever you want, get perks that are only for you, get promoted at least every 2 years regardless of your performance or experience for new position. High turn over in one group of the department but nothing is done about it. Some people are overworked, some are managed out (moved like chess pieces) and others get to socialize and surf the web.

    Advice to Management

Please stop the unfair bias and politics. Don't exclude one person because they are not in your social circle. Promote and hire people based on their resume/experience versus popularity and favoritism. Talk to people politely, don't talk down and yell at them. Please value your talented people and be fair to all. Listen.
