I have been working at Serco Group full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Co workers make it a fun place to work, it is a sit down position not a hard job can be challenging sometimes but that is at any place you work

Cons

they lie to you and have favorites,getting promoted is not as easy as says

Advice to Management

They need to listen more to the employees, turn over rate would be lower if they gave more money

    Pros

    The benefits were the only reason why I stayed employed.

    Cons

    Took advantage of Government. Yes, we had federal holidays, we observed them, however, it was mandatory for us to work on Saturdays just for the hours. If there was no work, we would work 8 hour shift placing labels on old file folders just so we could submit "x" amount of employees working on Saturday (overtime). It was common practice to hold immigration files on desks until the last day that was allowed. Did not want to get ahead of the workload. Not enough work for all the employees hired. Had to find things for employees to do! We were told if there was no work, to grab the file folders and label them so we can use them again.

    Advice to Management

    Praise employees. Stop upper management from promoting inter office gossip. If conflicts, address them immediately. Train, Train, Train employees. I was not trained until the last month I was there~~my "supervisor" could not train me, but had to go to her employee for advice! Advance supervisors/managers only if they know what they are doing!
