-Exciting concept and excellent branding - Great authors -Progressive, interesting title catalogue -Excellent to freelancers writers -Decent compensation and benefits for small press - Great location in downtown NYC -Flexible hours, flexible time-off/commuter options
Cons
- Typical start-up culture, no infrastructure to speak of. No laptops, no company phone, no title management, schedule system used to any consistency. - Poor communication at top level, employees are often not told what direction the company is going to take and then have to play catch up. - High turnover. No consistency. Over five employees had been hired/quit in the 3 years this company was in existence. Employees would often leave company with no announcement or explanation from upper management, leaving middle management find out when they attempted to contact the employee for missing assets, then scrambling to figure out who takes on the job. - Co-founders are both often absent and micromanage every step of the process, leading to severe bottlenecks in workload while waiting for an 'okay' on some basic process. -No clear delineation of roles. Was hired for a management position, but ended up running tech support and web administration for the phone app. Was given so many tasks outside of described job description it took significant time away from the job I was hired for.

* Learning a lot since the team is small and you have big responsability * Amazing people * Great boss * Good pay
Cons
Since it is a startup, it is moving in different directions pretty quickly and sometimes we need to cut corners.
