No opinion of CEO

I worked at ServiceLink full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Have a high turnover, so positions are always available

Cons

Service Link expects their employees to work 10 hour days, eat lunch at your desk and work weekends. Their employees are constantly talking about quitting and complain constantly

Advice to Management

Take notice of the high turnover, constantly having to hire new employees is not cost effective.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at ServiceLink full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Health Benefits/ 401k /AFLAC /friends you meet / location / free parking /elevators / company has numerous " fun days " , " food days " , fundraising , blood drives

    Cons

Corporate crap - all about profit, and less about the people ( employees & customers )
Too Many Chiefs / low pay rate for stress level and hours you are expected to work - mandatory overtime required

    Advice to Management

    1) Quit promising new clients unrealistic timeframes .
    2) Sit at our desk and do our job for a few days and see if you are capable of doing what we are required to do to keep everyone happy ( management / clients / borrowers / buyers / agents /co-workers ) -- " for the salary given"
    3) Make every department take ownership for their errors (audit & QA losing original docs, disbursements not sending funds when asked to , tax dept. not obtaining correct information, etc ).
a > Closers have no control over these mistakes, yet are held accountable and then become responsible for correcting the problem.
b> Closers take losses for these errors and receive a write up because of the loss.
    4) Make every department take phone calls -
a> closers cannot answer and shouldn't have to answer questions on their policy not being issued , a notary's address being incorrect, why aren't my docs recorded yet ?
    5) Implement something in the call center or phone queues advising clients/ borrowers/ buyers that for certain states they need to call another office .
a> Numerous phone calls received daily for Irvine - frustrates and wastes time for us & person(s) calling .
    6) Refrain from unecessary moves in-house as soon as a manageable workload is obtained .
Just because some ridiculous matrix states" one employee can manage x amount of files " is laughable - every client has different requirements & every employee works differently - every client uses different systems that must be logged into
    7) Full time Post Close Department is needed !!! Closers do NOT have time to deal with rejects along with everything else they must do on a daily basis
    8) Remove all the unnecessary e-mail addresses in the Global Adress Book.
    9) Communicate all changes to all employees - not just some of them .
