Positive Outlook

I have been working at Seton Healthcare Family full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Fair wages, excellent working conditions, many free opportunities for continuing education, encourage certification with bonuses, clinical ladder used for performance review, employees encouraged to assist with decisions, employees kept informed of changes, real breaks, awesome managers, LOVE working here!

Cons

I cannot think of any cons, there are people working here, so differences of opinion are to be expected. I would work here until the day I retire from nursing.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work!

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Seton Healthcare Family full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Friendly staff (once they warm up to you)
-Supply lockers & Scrubs free of charge
    -Easy Interview Process

    Cons

-What was discussed and offered and accepted throughout the interview/negation process was totally thrown out the door after the (exhaustingly long) orientation period.
-Orientation period or experienced staff lasted 4 months and is as rudimentary as that of a new grad with zero healthcare experience to "keep if fair"
-Call requirements are very confusing and there is more call than I and others in my field have ever experienced
-Scheduled shift can and often does change daily without notice or a cursory "can you....?"
-In less than 1 year there has been 4 different OR Managers

    Advice to Management

Best advice: begin treating your staff, at all levels within the OR, with a little more respect. Once you extend a job offer and it is accepted, DON'T CHANGE the game! The department is in DYER need of revitalization of staff attitudes, and as a whole, the "it's not my job" attitude and SEVER lack of functional team work DESPERATELY needs to be addressed and FIXED. Current employee, but not for long at this rate.
