I worked at Shannon & Wilson as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people, salary, and flexibility of hours. Always treated well by coworkers and management! They also offer interns work after finishing their masters in geotech.

    Cons

Requires a masters in geotech to move up in most positions. Engineers treated best out of most positions. In spite of that still a really great company.

I have been working at Shannon & Wilson part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They walk their talk. Hire the best, do interesting work, be the best and make money.
Transparency - no secrets, salary or financial performance for all, top to bottom is shared.

Good pay, excellent benefits, generous profit sharing/bonus structure.

Anyone can buy stock and participate in profits/growth.

    Cons

Consulting is a competitive business. Have to outthink and outwork competition. Have to be willing to work. Differentiator is the opportunity to advance and you will be compensated if office/company does well.

    Advice to Management

    Have a little more fun.
