Pros

Shaw is a great place to work. They seem flexible with time off and no one takes themselves to seriously.

Cons

Their was some tension and uncertainly regarding the transition from Canwest to Shaw Communications and the split from the print division.

Advice to Management

Please dive headfirst into web/digital broadcasting. Traditional media distribution with soon become a thing of the past. Keep it up.

    It's a company that gives everyone an opportunity . It doesn't matter where you started from or where you come from, you would be given a chance to move up.

    Pros

    Flexible Work Schedule regarding starting and ending workdays at different times.
    Healthy snacks.
    Office coffee suplies
    No previous experience is requiered to perform for the job

    Cons

    What makes for an awful job? One that's highly stressful and low payingHigh stress is a normal part of the workplace and the pay is very low.

    Advice to Management

    Provide more formal training.
    Increase significant the planner wages, (at least 25%)
    Provide feedback more frequently.
    Hire more people for the planning department.
