Advice to Management

My experience with upper management has been a wonderful journey. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most motivating managers who genuinely want to see those around them succeed and grow with the company. My only advice would be to listen and take advice from the "little" people, because the future of the company is dependent on those individuals.

    I worked at Sherwin-Williams full-time

    Pros

They hire from within, and hire management with happily leave you alone as long as you and your store perform.

    Cons

it is essentially a sales job with the added responsibility of having to run an often under staffed store. This makes the job much harder than it needs to be

    Advice to Management

Staff the stores better so the 'sales' can be given the focus you ask for. Oh and pay store management appropriately for the hours they are forced to put in.

    I worked at Sherwin-Williams full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Sw cares a lot about there employees. They will take the time to train and develop new hires, particularly in the MTP program. Just hope that you are placed with a manager that cares about their job.

    Cons

Sw can be frustrating. Working weekends is definitely a drawback to the job. Many store managers don't care about their job as much and spend a lot of time out of the store.
