No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Shoprite Supermarkets part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Mostly clean stores (if you're lucky enough to be in a new one)
Weekly paycheck
Flexible scheduling

Cons

Very low rate of pay
Unprofessional department managers
Unrealistic work expectations
No weekends, personal time

Advice to Management

Some of the store managers try to do the right thing and make it a nice place to work. However, there are so many scumbugs they probably have to hire because no one wants to make minimum wage, its definitely not a professional environment. I have to say the managers were good to us, but the customers and other workers were awful. The amount of work they expect you to do in 4 hours while you help customers and clean up from the day is just insane. It's too bad they just don't get it.

    Pros

The customers are the ones and sometimes the workers can make a day go by peacefully.

    Cons

The one problem is that they don't give chances or willing to start something new.

    Advice to Management

The management need to improve in there attitude and start respecting their workers.

I have been working at Shoprite Supermarkets part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pro is that they offer flexible scheduling and there is a union if you need them. The union does pay for certain legal fees and such but thats about it.

    Cons

The management at Shoprite is very biased and will say one thing to your face and try to take you down behind your back. They like to use people to their benefit and then dispose of them as they see fit.

    Advice to Management

Management should get some employees that actually care about the people they work with so Shoprite's employees will actually want to go to work.
