      Pros

Shrine is a tech startup (started 2017) that treats employees with respect and trust. I was the first employee hired by co-founders Doug & Malissa and I have seen firsthand the tremendous care and consideration each employee has been given. Here's what I like about Shrine: 1. Shrine prioritizes the career development of each employee: - pays for daily training and/or coaching to enhance individual careers / skills - works to get each employee into their ideal / desired job function - leverages projects to give each employee opportunities to deepen their skill set & career knowledge 2. Shrine has amazing team dynamics: - co-founders are natural leaders & extremely talented developers - all team members' skill sets & opinions are both valued and utilized - support and direction is readily available on all projects 3. Shrine is transparent: - CEO / co-founders are honest & open with company goals as well as goals for individual employees - CEO / co-founders go above and beyond to ensure employee concerns are resolved - short term and long term company direction is never hidden from employees 4. Shrine is a fun, fast paced environment: - the many team successes at work make it easy to go home happy / fulfilled - naturally motivating atmosphere & solid ideologies - the rumors about the free Mountain Dew are true :) To sum up, Shrine is the kind of company I can wholeheartedly support. I would 100% recommend Shrine.

      Cons

I have no complaints about Shrine. CEO / co-founders are approachable & understanding and I feel comfortable talking to them about any questions or concerns. They have never left my concerns unresolved.

        Pros

Transparency - Working at Shrine gives me an opportunity to be transparent about my passions, plans and long term goals. Shrine is also transparent with it's employees. You always know how well you are doing and what to work on. Training - One of the core parts of working here is training. The first thing I do everyday is train on a subject tangible to my job. Shrine pays for my professional training and coaching. I'm pretty sure everyone else in the office trains everyday as well. Positive - The staff and founders here at Shrine are very open to new ideas, processes and methodology. I always feel like if I have an idea, I can bring it up and my thought is embraced. Wins are celebrated and the vibe of the company is uplifting.

        Cons

Accountability - I'm not sure if this is actually a "Con." But it could be for some people. Everybody's expectations are clearly set each week and the whole team is fighting to meet them. If you want to just kind of sit-around, this is not the best place for you.

          Pros

I started working for Shrine after leaving my job at one of the largest tech companies in Silicon Valley. From day one, Shrine has provided me with the perfect opportunity to grow as a software engineer and achieve my career goals. The founders at Shrine are talented engineers with real world experience. Because of this, there is never a lack of communication between engineers and management. Overall, my productivity as a software developer has skyrocketed thanks to their strong leadership and expertise. Not only is management great at providing direction, they are also willing to put enough trust in me to make decisions and get things done as I see fit. When it comes to technology stack or implementation details, I always feel comfortable sharing my thoughts and I know that my opinion is valued. They are great at making sure that each member of the team is able to be impactful which has lead to a very fulfilling work experience.

          Cons

There are no downsides that I have experienced while working with Shrine.

Always remember these when interviewing (based on my experience): - You will not be working with the recruiter you talk to - Large companies = chances are good of you not working directly with the mgr/sup who interviews you. - Small companies = chances are you will work closely with the mgr/sup who interviews you. But, chances are good the team you work with is not on this call - In both situations - ask to meet you direct team, if you can, to get a feel for how things are
