Pros

Coworkers are talented and helpful.
Environment is respectful.
Technical conversations with coworkers are productive and interesting.
There are not a lot of meetings compared with other companies.
Meetings are shorter compared with other companies.
Meetings are more productive than at other companies.
Management uses common sense and is flexible with employees.

Cons

Salary is adequate, but not spectacular.
In spite of the great technology the company developed, the market was not ready.
Company revenue was low. This resulted in the sale of the company to another at a low price.

Advice to Management

Congratulations for developing really great technology! Developing these integrated circuits in silicon CMOS that reliably communicate at 60GHz is a great accomplishment. Unfortunately, people that achieve technical advances that make great contributions to society don't always profit from those contributions.

    Pros

It used to be free lunch and dinner. After that was cancelled, not much. Most of the engineers are pretty good and nice people.

    Cons

    Where do I begin?
    1. Engineers are treated like machines. Work 24/7. No life outside of work. Certain director hold meetings at 6pm to force engineers to stay late. Most engineers work their butts off, while others barely do anywork (those are the ones getting promotions).
    2. Management lies to employees at all-hands, squeezes every cent out of engineers while they spent lavishly on travel, dining, and some things I don't even think I am not allowed to type here.
    3. Terrible organizational structure. Each group runs according to the likings of its VP. Certain managers have no clue how to run an organization (or just plain no clue period).
    4. If you're friends with senior management, you're promoted.

    Advice to Management

You get out what you put in. This is a private company, not the federal government.
So $25 Million after $$110 Million of investment. Serve you right. ALL OF YOU!!!
