Pros

Very smart and talented employees. Lower level management is fair.

Cons

Very poor staffing decisions made in the past year or two, causing imbalance in some areas. Hiring from across the globe was forced and is foundering, driving up customer dissatisfaction with language barriers and poor product knowledge. Development areas were cut too much, with model bugs sitting for years without resolution. Silos between groups blocks sharing of vital information. Every group is only interested in their own metrics. Some teams are treated poorly, like servants, by other Siemens groups. Too many high-paying administrative positions are being filled, while vital customer-driven positions are cut.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees before making decisions. Don't treat them like children.

    Pros

Restructuring has added lots of layers of management. More and more managers but lay off people who do the work.

    Cons

Laid off an employee with 43 years with the company and 2 admin. Morale is bad. Too many managers. Communication is poor.

    Advice to Management

Understand the product line. Change needs to be smart, not just changed for the sake of changing. Bad decisions are being made at upper levels because new managers do not understand the product line.
