I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Staff is all very intelligent and experienced. Products and services are good when executed properly. Good benefits, good working environment.

Cons

Inflated management, understaffed operations, poorly executed solutions, untimely service, non-responsiveness, no accountability, customer dissatisfaction, way too many procedures and not enought solutions to problems, lack of customer-focus.

Advice to Management

Concentrate on proper execution. Plan accordingly for operations to be prepared for workload.

    Pros

    Good job security.
    OK pay.
    Good benefits.
    Good work environment.
    Projects are challenging.
    Great co-workers.

    Cons

    Big mess internally. Organization is not well defined and it changes frequently.
    Roles are not clearly defined and work loads are very unbalanced.
    Employee performance is evaluated based on silly targets, rather than focusing on what really matters to make your department/company successful.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of all the useless bureaucracy.
    Make it easier for employees to do productive work.
    Boost up morale by rewarding individuals based on their performance, and not on global success.
