Pros

The facility in which i worked was like a family atmosphere. Everyone knew each other and there was respect between higher management and the regular employees.

Cons

The opportunity for advancement was limited since there was a low employee turnover. Some of the supervisors seemed to be in their position due to "promoting incompetence".

Advice to Management

If an employee is not working up to par and is not getting along with others, don't promote them to management just to remove them from the immediate problem area.

    Pros

Siemens is a good company to work for. They offer a very good benefits package and many job growth opportunities provided you are willing to relocate.

    Cons

Siemens has consolidated sales support offices and cut many field sales positions. This has resulted in inadequate customer service and the abandonment of key growth territories where management deemed market share was too low.

    Advice to Management

For Siemens to gain market share you must commit to keeping field sales in key growth territories. While this was clearly stated as a goal for FY09, the resulting fiscal year terminations indicated otherwise.

    Pros

benefits and excellent manager allowed significant self starting and self management of work. some very good people with whom to work.

    Cons

too frequent and too many reorganizations - seems like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic instead of stopping and thinking about the North American market.

    Advice to Management

Respect the workforce and treat each employee as an individual. stop reorganizing the division so frequently and let the American work force have a major say in decisions.
