I have been working at Sierra Nevada Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great company and even better colleagues. High energy and fast paced with plenty of opportunity. The work is very rewarding. The owners are so generous and thoughtful and really make you feel valued. Unbelievable 401K.

Cons

Very fast growing and as a consequence, have some trouble keeping ahead of that growth. Need to recognize over stressed work environment.

Advice to Management

Such a great company, keep doing what you are doing!

I worked at Sierra Nevada Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

At one time, this was a good place to work with opportunity. However, the new management, DOM, various Leads, and the Field Mgr are lacking true leadership qualities. They work from personality only, and support who they like. Those individuals are free to socialize most of the day, while employees that they don't care for are the worker-bees. That is the "pros".

    Cons

No annual reviews, no pay raises, no opportunity, a lot of legalism. Rules are followed in an "after the fact" as well as "knee jerk" reaction to everything. The hangars are filthy, run-down, and no standard for facility or equipment maintenance. It is a dirty environment, more so than most hangars in aviation. The leadership appears to be very angry. We work 60 hours each week, sometimes more. Your shift changes from days to nights on a weekly basis. They come across as if their goal is to fire as many people as possible. A lot of us want out of SNC in Clovis, New Mexico.

    Advice to Management

Read and re-read the above statements. If you can't bring resolve to anything - then you are not a good leader.

I have been working at Sierra Nevada Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very liberal work environment. Somewhat, unorganized. They have a nice facility which, is close to home and places to go and eat.

    Cons

Hire people that lack depth. Too many young people that think they are Management material.
