Pros

The pros are that they are willing to work with the employee to achieve the very best product in the industry.

Cons

Some of the programs the corporate offices have implemented seem to be more of a waist of time rather than what they were designed to be.

Advice to Management

Continue to look for ways to improve relations between management and the employees.

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Education Program is the highlight of this company with the established personnel a close second!
Pay was good at entry level.

    Cons

Absolutely terrible and stressful place to work due to shifting or non-existing goals. You never had the feeling that any job or even task would be complete. I don't mean continuous product improvement, I mean second, third, forth managers revisiting old and often completed work. I spent more time explaining the same details already clearly contained in my reports than actually working on the next project.

    Advice to Management

Read the reports. Then ask questions relevant to what is not already clearly written! Move on! There many volumes of data including all the government failure analysis that indicates the problems with contractors or suppliers! Do you really need hundreds of failures of one product to know it is bad?

    Cons

    - paper work can get repetitive
    - lab equipment old.
    - lack of performance recognition
    - lack of career advancement.
