Pros

Silicon Labs can be a good place to work. You'll work hard and have a lot of responsibility. Most of the time you'll be permitted to do your job your own way

Cons

Career development is virtually non-existent if you're not a design engineer. Senior management should take more risks; very conservative.

Advice to Management

Take more chances. A technology company shouldn't sit on their money. Invest in tools, resources and technology to attack the competition.

    Pros

a good place to analog design positions, analog designers are well respected inside the company. For fresh graduate of analog design, this is a great place to work because there are a lot very good senior analog designers that could bring your work experience up.
People inside the comany mostly have good personality, willing to share

    Cons

Not so much career growth for other design engineers. Influence and impact of system/digital/firmware engineers are not as well recognized as analog design.
what is part of company culture.

    Advice to Management

In order to build bigger chips with more functionality, contribution from all design category are important. It would be nice company culture would gear alittle bit from this analog centric culture.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

One of the best places for analog designers. Great people to work with. Very knowledgeable and best people in the field work for Silabs. If you want an analog intensive job, this one is for you.

They are also very accomodative for getting as many leaves (time off) as you wish.

    Cons

Very stingy. Bad compensation and benifits. Lack of appreciation for good work. Very bad HR department. Don't sponsor greencard for years together and want to hold people from getting it as they fear that people leave after they get the greencard.

    Advice to Management

Immigration policies have to be revised. Project managers have to be carefully chosen.
