I worked at Six Flags part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

It's a decent summer job I guess; Some parts are air conditioned. You'll get a tan by the end. The employee perks are a decent bonus, including free admission for yourself and another, plus free extra tickets periodically.

Cons

Management cheats employees out of lunch breaks; is unresponsive to employee complaints; has unreliable scheduling; sets unrealistic requirements resulting in 75% turnover in some departments

Advice to Management

Stop the turnover! You've lost and alienated employees this way. The $10 over and under till rule forced me to quit, though I never stole. When you handle thousands of dollars on a busy day, mistakes can happen!

I worked at Six Flags part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Unlimited free visits and parking, 30% off park merchandise. Work was pretty fun if you had a good group of friends to hang out with, but if you don't like your co-workers it probably won't be a good job. Average Starting pay, $7.50 I believe.

    Cons

Some co-workers and managers are very immature, but you should expect that at a business that hires mainly minors. I worked late hours at my position, but not all will have this experience. Also, most employees are "seasonal", and you will be "let go" just after new years. You have to go through the hiring and orientation process all over again each february to start work in March for spring break. Because you're seasonal, there is no overtime or earned vacation time/sick days. Also, no benefits unless you're a full-time manager.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, and hire more Loss Prevention employees!
