I worked at Smith College part-time (More than a year)

Pros

great atmosphere, never a dull moment (in a good way), always something to learn

Cons

no growth opportunities, barely any pay (but it's work study, so what can you say)

Advice to Management

investigate work flows and see what can be made more efficient (without cutting jobs that people need)

I worked at Smith College full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The overall ideology of the place is very empowering. Student discipline is good, and some students are world-class type of good. Your colleagues are quite amazing free thinkers and top notch scholars. You can wear anything to work.
Campus is beautiful! very safe. Women students bring a nice, cozy vibe to everything they choose to decorate.
Town and college are Very LGBT friendly, and the culture is very progressive in many other democratic issues.

    Cons

The student body is too diverse, if there's such a thing. There is even share of rich white heiresses, smart foreigners and diversity scholarship recipients. Their preparation is all over the place and it dramatically limits what you can do in the classroom.

The militant feminism spirit is so radical that it makes you sick. My boyfriend was asked to show ID by campus police every time he picked me for lunch or went to gym with me.

Many other extremes. For instance, you are asked not to wear perfume if you visit HR office in person.

If you are lesbian or if you are a straight woman hating men, this is a place for you. If you are a straight man or woman of traditional manners, upbringing and values, you'll feel very odd.

    Advice to Management

Recall the true meaning of feminism, clean the place of ideology of hating men.
