Pros

The menu is great and the people are proffessionals, I would not reccomend working here if you do not know what you are doing.

Cons

I work an average of 60 to 75 hours a week just to finish the paperwork that we are responsible for.

Advice to Management

Don't do it unless you are ready to work a ton of hours. Getting a raise is like asking a stranger if you can borrow his car for a day.... Its just not happening

I worked at Smith & Wollensky full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great money, excellent co-workers, hours not too bad.

    Cons

    Not many to speak of.

    Advice to Management

Hear out employees when concerns arise, be willing to adapt. Again, management was not a negative.

I have been working at Smith & Wollensky full-time

    Pros

    Great food and nationwide recognition

    Cons

Zero training. No excitement or pride in staff. Not a fun place to work. Managers seem burnt out, and servers are too old, miserable, and jaded. Managers don't even know names of hourly associates. Managers never even say hello. Way too old school....

    Advice to Management

Come down from your crystal castle and let the staff know you care about them, and not just the dollar signs.
