    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Good work/life balance with reasonable hours.
    Good benefits
Vacation policy (five weeks after five years of service)
Work environment and Coworkers are usually friendly

    Cons

Two tier system - promotions and management spots are given first to expatriates, regardless of experience and skills.
The Paris bureaucracy spews a steady stream of forms, status reports, processes, and KPIs. Powerpoint skills are highly valued.
Lip service given to career development

    Advice to Management

There are mixed messages on the future of the NY branch. Be clear and honest on its direction. The new management team talks about being global. The management org chart continues to be less global.

    Pros

Generally good working environment as most employees are friendly. Good company benefits including defined benefit pension (though very low), good vacation time, work/life balance.

    Cons

It really depends on what your job function is and which team you are in. Middle and back offices normally have good hours though relatively low pay. Front office has relatively less stress compared to top tier american investment bankers but it also shows in the pay check + bonuses. Huge turnover rates as it has hard time to retain the best performers.

    Advice to Management

If your strategy is to expand in the US, you have to be ready to pay the $$$ to attact talents.
