I have been working at Sodexo full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

good benefits
three weeks vacation
friendly environment
they invest in training their people
good resources are provided through phone and internet
free meal for food service managers

Cons

they expect you pay you for a 40 hour work week and expect you to work 50 hours, My schedule is set up that I work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. Also, I was told in my interview that I would be working at 7am to 4pm or so. Then when I got there my schedule changed after a week to sundays and mondays atarting at 4am!!! and the other days i start at 9am. Also, I have enough work to do for more than 10 hours a day. I am always busy, which is good, but sometimes the amount of work I have is sooooo overwhelming.

Advice to Management

Sodexo talks about a great work/life balance, but I don't see how that is possible when you expect us to work 50 hours a week and get paid for 40. Either give us more money or only make us work 40 hours a week.

I have been working at Sodexo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Stable work environment
    - Low turnover
    - Decent benefits
    - Change is minimal

    Cons

    - Low turnover leads to few chances for moving up
    - Entrenched mindsets leads to silos
    - Change is minimal
    - New projects nearly always outsource for deployments
    - Talent development is next to none

    Advice to Management

Develop the internal resources to handle the new demands and projects, instead of outsourcing the projects deployments.

Get the decent benefits that once were in place, not the cruft we have now.
