I worked at Softchoice full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good place overall, good people, location.

Cons

Complex business model, especially on the BD side of things. Also, in sales with the CSR, ISAM & Field Sales organizations - alot of redundancy in the roles.

Advice to Management

Be more open to ideas that come from people that have experience on the outside.

    I have been working at Softchoice full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Laid back Culture;
    Microsoft-centric sales staff; helps to get into the door at many business'
    environment focused on fun, for Fridays, if you like beer

    Cons

    Microsoft-centric sales staff; hard to get mind share away from this
    compensation, lacking;
    benefits changed too often; benefits advertised were not available to all.

    Advice to Management

    Core competencies are great to focus on and start out with, but with no penalty for sales diversification in clients portfolio, makes it extremely tough to accomplish the Executive level goals trickled down to middle management and sales. Creating a sense of urgency can only go so far......you need the sales team motivated.

    I worked at Softchoice full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I was loved working at Softchoice. The atmosphere is friendly, professional and very change oriented. You can take your ideas and do something with them here. That's pretty cool.

    Cons

    The organization has such a strong orientation to change/improve, that sometimes it needs to slow down and just let the teams find a groove.

    Advice to Management

    Overall, I think management has done a good job. Some of the senior leaders who were less strong have now gone, so I think the SLT is in good shape.
