    Listen to your employees, treat them like people and not $$, give employees on the bench more constructive things to do

    I worked at Sogeti full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The company works with many big players across the country, including in the regional office location where I was. Fortune 500 players and interface means great exposure to the work of very fine employers and being able to make an impact in the business world.

    Cons

    Secrecy and privacy shrouded most of the decisions made at the upper levels, and turning down opportunities presented to you (even when you didn't particularly want them) was not really an option. Staying "on the bench" will almost assuredly lead to termination, as they don't keep a lot of headcount not having billable hours. You have to make your own way there to be successful, but you probably won't be given a lot of help and/or assistance to know how to make it any better. The Rewards system (bonus program) is geared heavily towards sales without any real concern for the quality of the delivery.

    Advice to Management

    Consider building some experience, even at the lowest levels, if you want to ever achieve true seniority or loyalty. The "long-timers" may have been prevalent in spots, but there is too much turnover down below. Your claims of "years of expertise" are misleading and not trustworthy.
