I worked at SolarCity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people working here, company provides a number of useful tools and online platforms that keep all the activities of the company in one place. Great salary and benefits for those working at managerial levels, installers/auditors focus on what they do best: install/audit

    Cons

Company perhaps taking on too much, if you get hired here, better hit the ground running; you learn as you go and you better produce results right away. Long workdays with little to no breathing time, may get a bit too stressful for those with little patience, working 10-12 hr workdays AND Saturdays is normal. You will probably be spending more time here than with your family. At-will employee status means they can fire you at any moment without giving you any reason, so watch out. . .

    Advice to Management

Provide better training to ROMs and other managerial employees to handle company workflow. Mandatory training of SolarWorks, SolarBid, and other exclusive platforms (not just Wiki) for employees before seriously starting to do work.

    Pros

One of the biggest in the industry with lot's of very well qualified people

    Cons

Long hours and required overtime make the life/work balance really bad when working for this company.
