Pros

I love working for SolarCity. I have been here for 3 years, and I am just as excited to go to work as i was the first day.

Cons

The utility companies are our biggest challenge.

Advice to Management

Each state has differnet challenges. And the blanket rules dont work well in each state.

I have been working at SolarCity full-time

    Pros

Young, entrepreneurial culture with aggresive growth to ensure dominance in distributed solar power generation. Good benefits, and stock options is great.

    Cons

Feels like a big corporation sometimes

I have been working at SolarCity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Inventive
    Great people-Sales and Support
    Nice Facilities
    Competitive pay
Fabulous Founders-CEO and COO-down to earth yet great leaders and extremely passionate

    Cons

Constant Change in expectations and organization-Always challenging with a growing startup working towards IPO and having achieved that. However SCTY has had some major growing pains over the past 1 yr+ that has caused them to lose some wonderful staff both by choice and not.

Creating a cloned army of a Sales team that is beginning to lack personality and passion.

    Advice to Management

Bring back the culture and values that made SCTY such a desireable place to work. Growth does not have to equal lack of fun or passion.
