Great place working environment with supportive and collaborative team. Company is constantly changing and growing to meet the high demands.

Cons

Company's salary does not reflect the expense of the cost of living in the surrounding areas.

    I have been working at SolarCity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I really enjoy my management and coworkers. We're all very supportive to each other and try our best to help each other out when possible. I also love our product and the comprehensive services that we offer.

    Cons

    There should be much more training. The only training that exists is the 2 day virtual training on salesforce and solar basics. Such a big company should offer ongoing training instead of just shadowing.

    Advice to Management

    Better training.

    Pros

    Stock and vacation pay, Many great people at the trench level that make strive to create a good experience for the customer.

    Cons

    read Yelp, BBB and Glassdoor. No one is minding the store. customer has been forgotten in the thrash since post IPO. All customer care is administrated from Las Vegas. Poor communication and new hires that are not trained to place the customer first.

    very obvious that many of the glassdoor reviews are written by company insiders. would not be surprised if they post a position for someone to write reviews to counter the poor reviews they receive.

    Advice to Management

    advice is only welcomed when someone cares enough to listen.
