Wide range of clientelle, flexible scheduling, independence, good experience collaborating with outside agencies (i.e., DCF, attorneys, etc.), option for in-home and outpatient therapy

    Cons

Lack of clinical supervision, unsupportive administration, potentially long hours with little income, benefits contingent upon your session count, lack of sick/paid time

    Advice to Management

Ensure clinical supervision for all sites, support for no-show rates, paid/sick time

I worked at South Bay Community Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's great experience, if you're out of graduate school. Working with clients can be rewarding, as you get to work with all types of populations. This job requires you to make the most out of what you have. The team co-workers are usually helpful and friendly.

    Cons

There is some unethical behavior behind closed doors, as I have heard horror stories about how they treat employees that choose to leave. They don't pay you for meetings, supervision or trainings. The burnout is high, as you're trying to juggle unpaid hours of paperwork and seeing clients in their homes.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more supportive and ethical towards your employees. There is a reason why there is a high turnover rate!.
