I worked at Southern Research Institute full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Depending on your department or division, it can be a terrific place to work. Or a hideous place to work. Many departments encourage employees by offering training opportunities, and try to stay on top of their technology.

    Cons

The buildings are old, and they look it. Doesn't bode well for visiting clients or auditors. Opportunities in some departments for continuation of training in your field is non-existent, and senior management is okay with the discrepancies.

    Advice to Management

Try to balance or equalize these differences.
