I worked at Southern Wine & Spirits of America full-time (More than a year)

Pros

A fun industry, selling fun products. A good choice if you are self motivated and don't like the 8:00-5:00 gig

Cons

Lots of pressure from big suppliers to make the sales numbers and they don't care how you make them or if the products fit the account. Unorganized Management - the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

Advice to Management

Every Sales Rep hates their job and would quit tomorrow. You have a PR problem in the industry and in the Company.

I worked at Southern Wine & Spirits of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of freedoms with the way employees choose to do their jobs. Not stuck inside an office all day.

    Cons

Very little compensation for wear and tear on personal vehicles, which are used in daily work. Many managers are totally clueless or do not care about employees. Upper management clearly does not care about those working at the entry level.

    Advice to Management

Check up on lower management more frequently. Open your eyes.

I worked at Southern Wine & Spirits of America part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They hire from within the company which means if you stay long enough; you could get promoted if you work harder than your colleagues. Hours can be flexible, depending on the position and pay is pretty good.

    Cons

Some employees can be immature and this is a very bad thing if it's a supervisor.
