I worked at Southwest Airlines as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

The working atmosphere here is unlike any other. It really is like a family with plenty of time for fun and productive work!

Cons

Pay can be not that great sometimes--something has to make up for all of the other perks that you get.

Advice to Management

Keep costs low, but don't sacrifice the culture of this place!

I have been working at Southwest Airlines full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Loved the "luv", the people, the family atmosphere, the flight benefits. Received a lot of excellent training and was able to innovate without a bunch of corporate hindrances.

    Cons

I was at poverty level even after 3 years in a management position. I think things have changed in the 13 years since I have been there, but that was one of the primary reasons I left.
