I worked at Southwestern Advantage full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Making a lot of money I made over 15K in 12 weeks each summer for the last 3 summers! The most Awesome hands on experience! I am graduating in a couple weeks and people want to hire me and you learn really learn how to sell which is a great skill to have especially when companies are interviewing you! best thing I did over my college career hands down. If you are reading this review bc your on the fence if you believe in yourself and are confident in your ability to do well then you will have a great summer! I Sold in Parkersburg,WV; Orlando,FL; and Columbus,OH. Also the living with host families is awesome! ~EC~

Cons

you give up your whole summer which wasnt really a big deal for me bc I got to go to different states to sell each summer! Also working 80+ hrs a week to some people may be a con but I enjoyed it you work hard all summer and play hard during the fall and spring during the school year!

I worked at Southwestern Advantage as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you choose to do direct sales, you'll learn how to manage your emotion/schedule/behavior. The compensation can be great, 40% of sales.

    Cons

Extremely physically draining, mental/psychological stress of a hard sales job can be overbearing.

I worked at Southwestern Advantage as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

built character and the leaders were good.

    Cons

didn't get a whole lot out of it in terms of professional skills. Not very good company if you wanna be an engineer. made my search for an internship/job hard after I finished the job since I didn't have engineering exp.
