I worked at Splunk full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They are hot in the market right now. Pay is good. Flexible working hours. You will work a lot more than 10 hours on any given day. However, for the most part, the when and where is flexible.

    Cons

The worst Human Resources department and management I have ever seen. Easily the most unhealthy food in the office canteens. If you are vegan or paleo, god help you. Worse, if you are an IBS sufferer.
You are completely screwed because if you are at an event, you will not be accommodated and you will not be reimbursed either. I had to carry my own food for events and for all travel. None of that was reimbursed. Their expense policy is idiotic and their expense department is underqualified at best.

Management is terrible. The word 'imbecile' comes to mind.

    Advice to Management

Lose the blindness. Else in a year you will retain the idiots and lose the hard and smart workers in a flash. Your middle management needs a lot of training in the ABC's of management- and I'm not referring to 'sensitivity training'. If there is a 'Management for Dummies' book, I suggest you make that a part of mandatory training.

I have been working at Splunk full-time

    Pros

If you like to binge drink, there is free beer; and like-minded company at least 2 evenings a week.

Free food, some of it healthy.

The CEO knows what he's doing; the company has done very well, and AFAIK will continue to.

    Cons

Very noisy environment (in HQ); everyone ends up wearing noise-cancellation headphones.
