    Pros

    Health benefits and employee discount.

    Cons

Lack of growth, poor senior leadership, negative atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Payroll is always looked upon as a controllable expense, however when running a 40,000 square foot store you need more than a manager an authority and a cashier scheduled. Payroll for store is so low that managers take vacation days in order for staffing to be appropriate. The stores lose more in theft from not having adequate staffing than the staffing would cost that would deter thieves.

    Pros

The starting out pay is way above minimum wage.
Usually the people that you are working with are friendly and about your same age.

    Cons

Lack of communication between your supervisor.
A lot of standing without a lot of action.
Scheduling wasn't always done based off your availability.

    Advice to Management

Sports authority must find a way to become more competitive with other sporting good stores. The way the store is organized, the products the store carries, etc.
