Pros

I really enjoy the people I work with. It definitely makes the job better working with people who are fun to be around

Cons

Not enough training. I was just thrown into different areas and just expected to be able to effectively help customers which was difficult at the beginning

    Pros

Cost plus 10 days. Employee discounts.

    Cons

They expect a lot out of you for such low amount of compensation. No commission on sales. Spiffs are pretty low amount. You will probably make max $50 a month for spiffs which includes you trying your butts off to make that much.

    Advice to Management

    Stop tryin

I worked at Sports Authority part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This job gave me the experience of working in a high volume retail store. You learn how to deal with customers and daily tasks in the retail world. Steady raises if you work hard and make sales.

    Cons

You're sales are tracked weekly and compared with all competing employees in your department.

    Advice to Management

Work with new hires individually, teaching them the necessary techniques of selling. Don't throw them in the water and expect them to post great numbers on the weekly reports.
