I have been working at Sports Authority part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great team environment. The employees are great and friendly! If you want to work hard it's a great place to be competitive! You are given the opportunity to earn more money based on items that you sell to customers! This means adding an extra $4-$300 added to your paycheck dependent on how hard you work.

Cons

Tho only cons are that there are many employees so you're not necessarily guaranteed more hours. Long shift of hustling around getting things done and helping customers.

Advice to Management

It'd be great if work was divided evenly, between associates.

I have been working at Sports Authority full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good hourly pay rate, Flexible job, great training, great store staff.

    Cons

The equipment is lacking, expect 100% floor work for external theft. The training is non existent you will get thrown in the "competition" of making stats very early. VERY stat driven, HIGH attrition rate, MINIMAL payroll. YOU WILL WORK ALONE, WITH NO PTZ's on the CCTV, 99% of the time. Unrealistic goals for the market. HUGE liability working alone in the ghetto. ALOT of travel with only .45 cents per mile of reimbursement.

    Advice to Management

Spines are important not only to an orthopedic office but also to the team you manage. Why do the managers not back up there people? Is YOUR job on the line from this private entity? 2 weeks coming soon been a solid couple years of fun guys! GOOD LUCK!!!
