I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Only US carrier to still offer a position as a technical consultant (phone technician)
Get to work with awesome technology
Great people, particularly those few "old guard" that have been around for 10 years or so
Fantastic vacation program
Great benefits
Seems to have a good plan going forward for network upgrading and maintenance

Cons

Corporate has little confidence in technical consultants as a whole, leading to micromanagement and lack of options in certain repair situations. This is getting worse.
Lack of hands on consistent hands-on training
Huge gap of communication between retail and corporate, getting worse
No promotional path for technical consultants, save becoming more involved with retail (assistant manager, store manager). For many technicians, a more natural progression would be corporate-side higher-ranked troubleshooting.
Employee phone program becoming less robust
Currently the network is lacking in many areas

Advice to Management

Break walls between corporate and retail.
Offer technical consultants more ways to progress their career.
Offer more hands-on training, not just webinars.

I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great working environment. From the Director Level Down you cannot work with better people. Everyone truly cares about the company and its results. Amazing training is available to you as long as you seek it out. The College Tuition Reimbursement program is great. It is easy to work across company lines with peers and other teammates on other teams. Great starting pay and earning potential.

    Cons

The Sprint Wireless Network has been in shambles for years but Senior Leadership continues to go after new technology instead of perfecting what they have. Continuously over promise and under-deliver on roll outs of Network Enhancements, Product Launches and Manufacturer Software Releases which makes the Salesforce look like liars to their customers. You need to be a Nuclear Physicist to figure out how you get pain as a B2B rep.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to come up with the next BIG thing and fix the network! Also, make it easy to figure out how you get paid.

I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The pay was decent and the amount of time off and work/life balance is almost unmatchable.

    Cons

The company seems broke. Many years, there were no raises. Layoffs happen what seems like constantly. The network quality is diminishing, causing a lot of customer dissatisfaction

    Advice to Management

    I liked all my managers.
