I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Only US carrier to still offer a position as a technical consultant (phone technician)
Get to work with awesome technology
Great people, particularly those few "old guard" that have been around for 10 years or so
Fantastic vacation program
Great benefits
Seems to have a good plan going forward for network upgrading and maintenance

Cons

Corporate has little confidence in technical consultants as a whole, leading to micromanagement and lack of options in certain repair situations. This is getting worse.
Lack of hands on consistent hands-on training
Huge gap of communication between retail and corporate, getting worse
No promotional path for technical consultants, save becoming more involved with retail (assistant manager, store manager). For many technicians, a more natural progression would be corporate-side higher-ranked troubleshooting.
Employee phone program becoming less robust
Currently the network is lacking in many areas

Advice to Management

Break walls between corporate and retail.
Offer technical consultants more ways to progress their career.
Offer more hands-on training, not just webinars.

I have been working at Sprint full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Work/Life balance is better than average.
    - Great Health/Dental/Vision benefits.
    - Free wireless service.
    - Pay is fair commensurate with the industry.
    - Corporate structure proves to be difficult for "politics" to come into play.

    Cons

    - Upper Management does not take accountability for their own actions.
    - The network is a mess for a large portion of the country (mostly Midwest) but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

    Advice to Management

Give us the ability to treat our existing customer base as well as we do new prospects.

I worked at Sprint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not many good pros to state. This company was a go between until I found a good organization that paid me and allowed me to grow as an individual.

    Cons

They suck very bad. This company leaves people vomiting. They do not know how to be profitable. They are a 3rd world country telephone company who bleeds money.
