I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

When I started with US Telecom (before it became Sprint), it was a wonderful company where the employees had a strong say in the development of the company. Management always had an open door policy and your thoughts and comments were well rec'd.

    Cons

As the company changed names several times, the rules and regulations changed also. By the time I was laid off, management was horrible. The treatment of the employees was not good and/or fair. Now to speak with ex-coworkers, it is worse than when I left.

    Advice to Management

Treat your workers like you want to be treated. To have everyone working in fear for keeping their jobs is not the way!

I have been working at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The culture and people are the main reason to work at Sprint. Being able to work remotely was convenient and I was able to get more work done not having to deal with busy commutes to and from work.

    Cons

The compensation plan was not designed properly for Sales people. There was no benefit for people who overachieved. The corporate strategy was not clear to the employees and the company is not doing well because of it.

    Advice to Management

Have sales people have more involvement on comp plans. There are no incentives and benefits for sales people who overachieve.
