I worked at SquareTrade full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Cheez-its, coca cola, shuffle board, mandarins

Cons

Work-life balance does not exist at this company.
They promote people who are not capable of doing their job correctly
There is absolutely no room for growth, regardless of them advertising that.
Customer service is NOT their first priority just an FYI
They are penny pinchers to the MAX
They change policies like crazy, which equals angry customers
Flexible schedule? I think not...
The culture at this place has been flushed down the toilet & the toilet overflowed from so much sh*t

Advice to Management

Hire people who know how to do their job effectively and have good personalities

    Pros

    SquareTrade is one of the few companies that truly puts the customer first. They will go above and beyond to create a great customer experience. SquareTrade understands/utilizes all avenues of Social Media well.

    Cons

    Definitely growing pains of going from a small company to a medium sized company. They need to determine how to make growth fit with values/needs of the associate.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to keep the customer first, but do not forget about the associates who make the company run.

    I have been working at SquareTrade full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    lots of perks like snacks, all-company lunches/breakfasts, occasional company-sponsored happy hours. since no one has an office (not even execs) there are more opportunities to talk to ppl at all levels of the organization. office is in a really, really convenient place too!

    Cons

    some standard growing pains that come with the territory (sometimes info isn't disseminated as quickly or as thoroughly as one would like), though leadership is making visible attempts at alleviating those pains as much as possible.

    Advice to Management

    Keep getting better at sharing information with employees (for better and for worse)...we appreciate getting filled in and it makes it easier to do our jobs well!
